Gentlemen:
I am selling my 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 because being 65 and retired, I don't need this much bike, even though I'm 6'2" and 225 lbs. It has more power than I care to control, and it's too heavy, at 550 pounds wet! I feel that the Savage may be the bike for me, as it's 170 pounds lighter than the Vulcan, and I'm not interested in freeway riding or high-speed touring, just casual cruising around the rural roads of my High Desert home in Southern California's Apple Valley. Do you think the Savage would be too small for my height? I really love its appearance, and the fact that it's a Thumper, too!
